ITALIAN HERITAGE RUNS DEEP   

Celebrate this year’s Festa della Repubblica by connecting back to your Italian roots and showing your Italian pride through the Italy Run LA. Italians and Italian-Americans are an integral part of what makes Los Angeles the hub of Italian culture and heritage. Join the Little Italy of Los Angeles Association (LILAA) in filling the streets of San Pedro with Green, White and Red on June 4th, 2023.

Italy Run LA is a family-friendly race open to participants of all ages and abilities, including runners, walkers, and strollers. Experience an iconic tour of San Pedro as you run through the beautiful streets of our Los Angeles Harbor set against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.

All participants will receive a race shirt, finisher’s medal, post-race refreshments and a truly unforgettable race experience.

THE VISION.  Throughout the last few years, the Little Italy of Los Angeles Association has spearheaded initiatives to promote the Italian values of inclusion, tradition, history, culture and innovation. Like last year, all the attendees and their family, friends and loved ones are invited to stay at our post- run "Festa in Piazza" featuring authentic Italian food vendors, music and so much more.

Whether you are Italian, Italian-American, a 5k enthusiast or a supporter of all things Italian, we would love for you to be a part of our big day. This family-friendly 5k is all-inclusive and open to all ages, genders, and ethnicities. Last year, ItalyRunLA was attended by well over 1,000 people. Join us as we make this year's fun run even bigger and better.

THE LOCATION  

Located at the Southern point of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, between Manhattan Beach and Long Beach, San Pedro is home to the busiest port in the country: the Port of Los Angeles. Also known as America’s Port, this gateway is much more than a transportation hub. It is one of the most historic and picturesque regions in Los Angeles. Today San Pedro offers a rare balance of small-town charm, cultural attractions, and family-friendly activities in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Come enjoy a slower pace of life that is good for the soul!

THE MISSION      

Little Italy of Los Angeles Association (LILAA)

The purpose of ItalyRunLA is to celebrate our pride in the Italian-American culture and heritage. All proceeds of the run will benefit LILAA programming and initiatives.
The Little Italy of Los Angeles Association (LILAA) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization promoting anything and everything Italian through events, partnerships and programs such as LILAA Junior Board, Poetry & Art Competition and so much more.

Since its inception, LILAA has created a cultural hub for the Italian-American community in Los Angeles in Downtown San Pedro on 6th Street in the Little Italy District. LILAA broke ground on Piazza Miramare in the Fall of 2022. Piazza Miramare will be a center for Italian cultural events and authentic Italian businesses to flourish.
